The Herrin family is requesting prayers for their 4-year old  girls'
surgery Monday starting at dawn.   If interested, you can read about it
by  typing in "Herrin conjoined twins"    These pretty little girls are
joined at the abdomen, have a single liver and kidney and  each has one
leg.

And we think we have problems.   My fur kids and I are purring for a good
result.   MLB

Purrs for that entire family.  You're right.  Something like that does put
our so-called problems in perspective.

Oh, wow.  I do think livers and kidneys can grow from a partial ...

Purrs for the little girls.

They plan to give the kidney to the strongest girl and keep the other on
dialysis for about six months until her mother can donate one of her
kidneys.

IMHO this is not a good move.  The mother has other children who need her.
MLB.

Livers can. Kidneys can't.  My niece's liver came from a living donor.
I read this morning that they are going to transplant a kidney from the
mother to the little girl.  They're doing fine so far. That's wonderful
to hear.

The news reports that so far after 15 hours of surgery they are doing
well.  The surgery is expected to last until Tuesday dawn.   That is rough
stuff!   MLB
