Hi all
Well thanks for purring for me to get the job I went for on Monday...I
just got an email to tell me I didn't get it...
Oh well I've applied for 2 other jobs at that place. If I have to bore
the interviewer to death before she surrenders then I will!

Thanks, Adrian. I am sure something will and I just hope it will be
something worth putting up with this endless round of interviews and
rejections for.
(And of course, the week after it finally happens, four other people
will offer me a job! It always goes that way!)

I recommend not trying that interview technique =P
Good luck with the interviews!

I'm sorry that job didn't work out. I hope one of the others does. It
sounds like a good place. When I was job hunting, years ago, I almost never
heard from anybody who interviewed me if I didn't get the job - even if they
promised to call.

It would be nice to get at least a polite "Thanks but no thanks" letter, no?

That is a frequent complaint, and I consider it *very* unprofessional -- and
also discourteous -- to keep applicants hanging like that. When I was
hiring a secretary for our faculty senate, I sent a letter to every
applicant and tried to say something helpful in each letter. It's hard to
tell someone the job went to someone else, but it's part of the job...or
should be!

I'm sorry it didn't work out this time. Keep at it because with your
perseverance it will pay off!
