I really wish I could get a good, close-up photo of Persia's eyes. She's
frequently lounging right next to me on the sofa as I read, or leaning up on
the sofa to tap my face (usually my nose!) if she wants something (food off
her "schedule"). Her eyes are truly gorgeous. There is an almost
iridescent green ring around her pupil but the outer ring of the iris is
gold. In photos, depending upon the light, her eyes either appear as all
green or all gold. In fact, they are both. Gosh I wish I could get a true
photo of them! I get the most wonderful, happy feeling as she gazes at me
and I gaze back :)

Reminds me of Max.
We used to stare into one another's eyes.
First time I saw him the eye contact was just incredible.

It is beautiful. I've also noticed that cats have a varying amount of
the bluish-green inner ring and the gold outer ring. The green part
expands when their pupils contract.
The pupils are very pretty too when the light hits them just so. This
is a good example:

gorgeous kitties.

I know he used to occasionally post a couple of years ago under the
nick Sgt. Pepper, but I don't know much about him, except that if I
remember correctly, this particular kitty, who would be at least 21
years old now if alive today, has since gone to RB.

This is the closest to Persia's eyes:

But the green around the pupil in her eyes is more pronounced and a bit
larger in diameter.
Lovely cats :) Thanks, Tak!

I really wish that Marina still had up a picture she had of Nikki from
about three years ago, which showed her sitting on her tree, and
showed the green and gold parts of her eyes very clearly. I think
Marina removed it from her Yahoo album a while back when she was
cleaning it up.

Do you mean this one? It's the only one I can find where some of the
green shows in her otherwise golden eyes.

Yes, that was the one I was thinking of! Thank you for reposting
that. That has it all - mittens, milk mustache, fine whiskers, googly
eyes, etc.

It's wonderful. She looks slightly Muppetty. ;)
