(whisper) Can they hear me now? LOL.
No, on a serious note, Chloe's doing over-grooming and I don't know if it's
due to stress or if she has a skin problem. I'd rather she have her own
brush if she has a skin problem than give something to anyone else. Her
skin is nice and white, no bumps, but she's pulling out her fur on the
inside of her legs. She knows I've been sick and this has only come up
since I've been sick, so I'm thinking it's stress related. Time will tell.

On this topic, I just discovered something new that Licky really
loves - being brushed! Last time I tried it, he wasn't too keen on
it, but that might just have been his mood. Sometimes he'll run
away from almost anything.
But yesterday, I was brushing Smudge, who really needed it. When I was
done (excuse me - when *she* was done), I gave Licky a swipe with it,
and he started purring, so I started brushing him all over. He loved
it, and let me brush him for about 10 or 15 minutes. And even though
he's a sleek short-hair, he clearly needed a good brushing - I got
almost as much fur from him as I did from Smudge! It's nice to have
a new activity I can do to bond with him.
The brush I use is actually a flat piece of rubber with nubbly bumps
all over the surface of one side. The bumps are thin and maybe 1/4 of
an inch high, which is... <stops to consult conversion program> 0.6 cm.
It has a loop on one side that allows me to wear it on the inside of
my finger, so that the brush rests flatly against my palm. Then I just
go through the usual motions of petting, except that kitty is getting
a good brushing. I'm just glad I found something that Smudge will put
up with, because if I don't brush her, she develops mats. The fact that
Licky also enjoys it is a bonus.
Roxy would like me to mention that she hates being brushed at any time
with any implement.

What kind of brush is that? Do you have a name for it?

Ah. You have forgotten that he now has a girlfriend and obviously wants to
look his best for KFC.

Funny you should respond to this post just now, as I just finished
giving him a major brushing about 5 minutes ago. He loooooooved it -
purred his head off the whole time. And yes, now he looks very shiny
and sleek, all ready for a date with his sweetie.

PS - and he's glad she now has a pot to p*ss in! :)
