I've started letting Gertie out to play a few times a day on my very
safe enclosed patio. Of course, this has to be under the strict
supervision of Lily (and myself), who is absolutely fascinated by "the
wierd creature"....

So this moring Gertie is ferreting about chuckling to herself (they make
the cutest chattering noise when they are exploring) and she gets into
the gerainium pot. Lily goes to investigate where Gertie has gone and
promptly gets ambushed as Gertie pounces on her tail. Lily *was not*
expecting *THAT*!! She elevated about 3 ft in the air in full halloween
mode whilst Gertie just chuckled to herself and bounced off.

I can see Gertie and Lily becoming playmates as they have spent a
wonderful 20 minutes playing peek-a-boo-ambush in the plant pots.

Ferrets are so cool to watch.

This isn't fair! I want a ferret and I'm not allowed! :(

LOL! Sounds like so much fun! What cracked me up in Theresa's story
about Rocky Ferret was the 'whatwhatwhatwhat' that she wrote he was
saying as he went about his business.

That is my favorite thing about ferrets-- whatwhatwhatwhat?

Kindred spirits!  I wonder if there will be ferrets on any future
Mouser voyages?

They sound so cute together.  It would be so funny if they ended up
being friends.  Lily is certainly friendly enough for it to happen.

I can picture it now....

Lily:  "You're a strange looking cat.  What short stubby legs you
have."

Gertie:  "You're a strange looking ferret.  What giant ears you have"

I'll leave the rest open to everyone.....  hehehe
