My power was off for 33 hours, so I'm trying to catch up. I skimmed for
purr request, and sent some purrs. However, if I missed anybody, be assured
that blanket purrs are on the way.

Wow! That sure was bad timing, wasn't it? You must have been sweltering.
I suppose it might not have been an unlucky coincidence at all, since
everyone blasting their air conditioners might well have caused an
outage. You must be relieved to have it back!

Yes, it was bad timing. Yes, I was sweltering. No, it wasn't a
coincidence. Yes, I'm very relieved, even though it's warmer in the house
than I like right now. I keep my thermostat set at 78 when I use the AC,
but the AC can't keep up with the temperatures. It's about 82 in here now.
That's a lot better than what it was yesterday at this time, though.
