Maybe the vet that wanted to put him down was a mouse in an earlier

You could have a point. I'm wondering what he'll come back as in his next life
due to his enthusiasm for unnecessary euthanasia in this one...

As a prisoner sentenced to death in one of those barbaric countries
that still have a death penalty.
