Thanks to all of you, for well wishes and your posts regarding the
passing of my Oreo cat. Dusty has been here at my side, comforting me
... and when she is away doing something else, Cosmo takes over those
duties. Its funny how they know.

I was thinking today ... five years ago I had a battle with cancer,
resulting in a leg amputation to save my life, I never shed a tear
about it. Two years ago a brain tumor was removed, leaving me deaf on
one side ... never shed a tear about that either ...

I lose Oreo ... and I whimper like a schoolkid every time I think about
it ...

I'm driving to work today thinking to myself ... "What the hell is up
with that?"

I know the feeling.
There's a song by Sade

"When you came my way
You brightened every day
With your sweet smile."

Cat's don't give love away, it's the real thing.

Very odd -- I can't see any of John's posts.  (I don't have him
killfiled, because if I did I would still be able to see his posts
when I use the shortcut to view the parent of the current article.)

Nothing wrong with that. I love my four Babies dearly, but I also love my
Fritzie, and even now I still get misty thinking of him. You love Dusty; why
would you not cry? It is just the nature of the love, that's all.

Blessed be,
Baha

Just about everybody here would understand how you feel.

You've got priorites, and I think that they're good ones.  You
are strong in the face of injury, which helps you to recover,
and you love your Babies like a good parent should.

Problem?  WHAT problem?

I've recently had a battle with cancer myself.  I panicked a lot, but I
never shed a tear until I was over-counselled about it.  It made me angry
and I tend to deal with anger with tears.

I get floods of tears if I lose a beloved pet.

It's normal to cry when you lose one you love.

Why not?  That's what tear ducts are for.  It shows your beautiful
capacity to love deeply and unconditionally.  You cared so much and it
hurts terribly  to lose Oreo, who must have had a wonderful life with
you.  Hoping the pain eases soon and you remember that life with
smiles.

You've lost your baby, that's why you are feeling like that. Dusty and
Cosmo are there for you, and so are we.
Lots and lots of purrs,
