I have one very traumatised and scared 10 week old kitten huddled at
the back of a cat basket in the kitten pen in my bedroom at the
moment. The same old story - he was  found wandering the streets
yesterday. He's another white and black kitten which seems to be the
colour theme for me at the moment. If only he could talk <sigh>, I can
deal with the hissy-spitty-fluffed up to twice their size ones easily
but the  passive terrified ones just leave me feeling inadequate.

Could he have some purrs please ?

I will get the gang to purring for him when I get home from what I
laughingly call work. Special wishes will be coming from Maggy May and
Sunrise, veteran mommy-cats who think kittens are the cat's pajamas.

Sunrise does think that he would be purtier if he were red, like her.

A PURR THAT CAN BE HEARD AROUND THE WORLD TWICE IS BEING SENT

Poor little one.  Purrs on their way for him to relax a bit and
realize you are helping him.

Purrs for Timothy to feel safer and braver, soon. He was lucky that you
found him, even if he doesn't think so, yet!   It may help his progress
along if you sit in the room where he is and talk to him in a soft
voice a few times a day, especially when you bring him his food.  Then
he'll associate you with pleasant things and a feeling of reassurance.
I bet he'll come around before long.

Timothy Kitten says thanks to Snoopy for the purrs, they are helping.

Timothy has ventured out of the carrier a couple of times tonight, he
crept back in when a car went by the house each time, but it's
progress.

You got them.  I know the feeling, really.  I was in PetSmart a week or
so ago with some friends, and saw a bunch of kittens and cats looking
for adoption.  Oh my , I wanted to take them ALL home!  There was an
adorable kitten who just loved everybody, but the one that got to me
was the older cat who was just sick and tired of the whole mess and
huddled in her cage and hissed at everybody.  If it weren't for
Princess Rita, I would have hustled that poor baby home where she'd
never have to do this again.  She just tugged at my heartstrings so
much!   *sigh*  I need a bigger apartment, or a house....

That's true.  They're each so special and wonderful.  What I always
thought was not that I need more space, but that I need more slaves!
If I were married and had lots of children, they could each be trained
to be the designated purrson of one or maybe two kitties.

Tak, you're not thinking of the fact that Felines have minds of their
own.  I don't remember the number of times that the wrong kid bonded
with the cat.  They all adore Rob, and I'm usually sloppy seconds, which
is one of the reasons Penny and Sonya are/were so special.  They both
preferred me over Rob.  Tanada is Rob's love slut first and mine second,
if mike isn't available.

We're sending purrs.  Let us know how he progresses.  If he gains some
confidence and becomes playful or loving, that would be fun to hear
about.
