Nina the Breakfast Love Slut

This morning as I was eating breakfast and attempting to read the
paper, Nina was overcome by her affection for me and repeatedly
demanded attention and affection. Finally, I put her down on the floor
and resumed reading the paper, taking a drink of my by now lukewarm
coffee as I did so. Back up she hopped, and put her paws on my chest,
demanding more love. Unfortunately, she did this just as I was taking a
sip of coffee and bumped her little head against the bottom of the cup.
That was the end of THAT newspaper!!

End of the newspaper. Girl you are going about this all wrong. Our Mommy
doesn't even remember the last time she managed to make it to 10 AM without
wearing her coffee of something else of our choice. Three clean shirts by
noon is our standard.

Course it helps that Mom has pretty much given it up as a lost cause. In
addition to jarring hands, there is the elbow bump, the nose push, the ear
sniff.

We try to enlist Kayla, but she has no finesse. She just comes in with wet
dirty paws (out of what looks like a clean dry yard) and gets side tracked
by trying to drink the coffee herself. Then we end up having to clean her
up as well.
