I was having Greek sausage and Parmesan rice for supper. Leftovers. Smokey
was intently watching me eat the whole time, but she doesn't like sausage or
rice. When I was finished I set the plate on the arm of the sofa and Smokey
promptly came to investigate from her position on the back of the sofa. The
only thing left on the plate was some Soy sauce and HP sauce. Smokey started
licking the Soy sauce off my plate, which I thought was a little odd. She
must have thought that there was something good on that plate, the way I was
enjoying it.
But then it occurred to me that she may have been after the residual
Parmesan in the rice. It's her second favourite CHEEZ you know!

Can't argue with a kitty happily licking your plate!

Ok lets not start this tonight you will have the wife kicking me out of bed
for the after effects of making me hungry for dishes like this
But hence that I had turkey, extra sharp cheddar cheese, bacon, romaine
lettuce held together by (honey mustard mayonnaise) wraps with fresh made
tortilla chips with fresh made bacon horseradish honey dip and for dessert
seedless watermelon
Think I am going to make some white cheddar popcorn and watch the Rescue Me
on FX

Well, since you ask --
Tonight DH and I had Chinese at one of our favorite restaurants, which
has recently expanded its offerings to include dim sum. Yum.
But last night, DH made us grilled chicken in a chili lime rub,
grilled asparagus, and mac n cheese (he actually was going to make
rice, which of course would be healthier, but I asked for some comfort
food =)) ... and for dessert, cubes of cantaloupe.
Yum.

Mmmm... Chili Chicken.
One of my favourites is Tortelli Alfredo with Veal. Havn't had this in a
long time, as it'll make your cholesterol rise just looking at it.

I am glad you like Dim Sum. I have too much Dim Sum lately. The elderly
ladies in my
computer class like to have Dim Sum every week. Sometimes even twice a
week.
I can't keep that up.

This is the first time I've had it (well, second, a week ago I was at
the same restaurant with a friend). Pretty yummy!

It's much easier to cook now that the cats are on the island. Though I'm
a vegetarian, Caliban always has to oversee my cooking. Yesterday I made
a dish with cauliflower, spring onions and white turnips. I blanched the
veggies, drained them, then covered them with a mixture of finely
chopped parsley and chives, shredded Parmesan, breadcrumbs, cream and
freshly ground black pepper. Then stick them in the oven for twenty
minutes or so, until golden brown on top. Had it with new potatoes.
Honeydew melon for afters.
