What Karen said, Kili!  The power of Purr is behind  you! Good luck,
and I hope the surgery uncovers a less grave situation than you feared.

Me too. The cats will surely be purring on the island, and sending happy
island vibes.

I love you all.  I really do!  I just came back from my pre-op.  At least
they were really nice at my hospital.  I go in at 8:30 tomorrow morning and
surgery should be about 10.  My husband can be with up until I go - thank
GOD!'

Thank you all for your well-wishes, 'cause I'm absolutely scared to death.
I will think of this wonderful group while I'm in there and thank you for
all your support.

More purrs coming your way, kili - glad they were nice at the hospital!

Think of all the individual kitties purring for you, envision their
faces, if you have seen (pics of) them and imagine ones you haven't.
With such an amount of kitties present in this group, that should keep
you busy *at least* for the duration of the procedure and keep your mind
off the scary part. But I sure can imagine that I'd be scared too...

Just to add to the international purrmass - purrs from Laku (a very soft
purr) and Nico (a hoarse, rumbly purr) too, and pics via the addies in
the sig.

My mom's been operated for a growth between her two brain halves several
(some 15-20??) years ago. It was very scary for the whole family in the
diagnosing and operating stages. She has to take meds (small pills)
several (3 or 4) times daily tho, cortisone and thyroxin. But other than
that, she's been fine ever since.

Good turn out purrs and calming of the scared nerves purrs on their way.
Hope everything turns out to be a lot of fuss over nothing.

Good luck!

Kili,

I'm a first class worrier and someone once told me "Worrying works. Most
things you worry about never happen."

Good luck to you. I will be thinking of you tomorrow. You're strong and
spunky, you will probably just take this all in stride.

It may be harder on the hubby in the waiting room...

I remember one time when I was going to see my dentist, I asked for
purrs here and got lots of them. Then when I sat in the dentist's chair,
I kept thinking of all the cats that were purring for me around the
world, and I just felt like laughing and didn't notice any pain at all.

Kili,

Chibi crawled in bed with me last night and reminded me to purr for
you.  I kid you not!  And then she proceeded to purr for the next hour!
(This is my non-purring, cuddle for ten seconds and then leave cat.)
Also, many purrs from Emma, who is currently a puddle of melted caramel
in a spot of sun.  (Jona and Cherry are on their security rounds and
are unavailable for comment.)
