The two of them have been rather sleepy today, flopping about all over the
place. It's a wonder there hasn't been an accident! I only hope they don't
decide to get active at 2am, like they did this morning. I think it is the
unusual heat which is getting to them.
Took them out into the garden this morning (one at a time) to give them a
good brushing. It left mountains of black and white fur all over the lawn,
but not to worry, the birds are picking it up for nesting. This evening I
carried Phoenix outside to sniff the air. He was wriggling quite a lot and
obviously wanted to explore. Memphis is more of a coward and although he
likes it in the back garden, he will run straight in if he hears a loud
noise.
The other thing we found today was Memphis paddling in his water fountain,
leaving wet paw prints down the hall. Quite funny, since if you turn on a
hose pipe to just a dribble he will run away from it! Both have played with
some catnip bags over the weekend, which is unusual as they are not that
keen on it. Phoenix should be hired by the England team - he's good at
'dribbling' with his little purple ball and a lot more entertaining (doesn't
have such expensive tastes either!).
