Xoxo and Maya are going to TED tomorrow for their annual checkup (plus
the extra senior tests for Xoxo).
Xoxo *really* hates going in the car, he freaks out and chews at the
metal screen on the carrier, to the point that his gums bleed. Could I
have some soothing purrs for poor Xoxo? It's less than a 5 minute drive!!!

Poor Xoxo. I had a friend who used to give her cat REscue Remedy before
a trip to the vet because the cat got so upset. Just like Xoxo, she
would bite the bars, but once she broke a fang off she got so agitated.
I can't recommend the stuff though as I've never used it myself. Glad
it's a short drive for her though.

I do have some of that, I'll give Xoxo a few drops in the morning before
the dreaded car drive.
Thanks for reminding me of it!

Spray some Feliway on the inside of the carrier just before you put her in
it.

Hope all the exams went well and Xoxo is happier today!

Extra special purrs for Xoxo on the way from Stinky who once clawed
his way right through his Sherpa carrier. ;)

How manageable is Xoxo?  Jake hates the carrier and Charlie won't put him in
it if he can help it.  We go to the vet with me driving and Charlie holding
him wrapped in a bath towel with just his face out so he can't get loose.

(But I have and use carriers for everyone for anytime I'm on my own.)

TED purrs for Xoxo and Maya enroute. Extra for Xoxo. Let us know if
the tests were ok?

We're back from TED. Poor Xoxo had to be pricked several times, as they
could not get blood out of him. :(
TED was very impressed at how docile Xoxo is, she said most cats in his
position would have drawn blood themselves. :)
His bloodwork will be ready Monday or Tuesday, when they'll call me to
discuss the results. In the meantime he's sporting a *bright* neon-pink
bandage on his right paw.
Thanks for the purrs!

What a good boy.  I think that blood draws are painless, from personal
experience, and from watching Betty.  Some drug and vaccine injections
are painful and sting going in, but I've never found blood draws
painful, even when I was a child.  Betty used to get those hot pink
sticky bandages too when she was being taken home from her drip!

Glad to hear everyone survived.  Purrs for good news in the blood
results.

Purrs and prayers that the drive to TED isn't so traumatic for Xoxo and that
both furbabies check out really well.
