I went to the vet today Rumble was due for his full panel blood works So
please some purrs for a good turn out
I heard this kitten meowing in the back and I said someone is not happy.
My vet's daughter found a kitten dropped out back in a box. She is about 6
weeks a guess maybe less. See is a orange striped Hemingway cat. My vet
said they had called the shelter was coming to get her. There are no more
no kill shelters in my area since the closings and political BS. I could
not let that happen not on my watch. I said no way she is coming home with
me. The vet gave her some de-wormer, she look lie a healthy cat not
showing any signs of sickness but she is to young for all the vaccines and
test yet. He is going to observe her over night and we are hopefully going
to bring her home tomorrow. What have I done
Something told me I had to go to the vet. I was going to cancel and bring
Rumble in next week but something told me to go today. The gods work in
mysterious ways. I am praying she is a healthy kitten so we can bring her
home to love. What have I done

Oh she is adorable! (assuming she's a she). You have done a very, very nice
thing to offer the kitten a one true home :)

What a cutie!! You're an angel for taking her in - you've already got
a huge brood as it is! (Well, in that case, what's one more? :))
A Hemingway cat - does that mean she has 6 toes on each paw?

Hemingway Cats are Polydactyl - more than the usual number of toes, not
necessarily 6....
Congrats, Matthew, on your new master :D

How cute she is, what a sweet face. I hope she turns out to be in
perfect health. Orange females (or, by the pic she looks more of a
cameo/cream color) aren't particularly rare, but being polydactyl is
rather unusual here. They may be more common in Florida.
Anyway, you've got yourself a real sweetie. Hope to see more pictures.

As the old saying goes, "We don't choose cats, they choose us." I've
always taken that as, just when you least expect it, a cat enters your
world and makes it known it is going to be your pet.
