Happy Birthday, Nina

She is two years old today, my little summer solstice cesarean section
baby cat! This is the kitten the vet "Wasn't sure would make it"
because she was so tiny at birth.  Some joke, as she's definitely the
dominant cat, around here!  When I pick her up she feels rather like a
soft and cuddly brick.  As a newborn, she was small enough to fit in
the palm of my right hand, and her little tail was like a piece of
fuzzy, striped string.
Now the birthday girl is lounging on a sunny patch on my bed, having a
nice nap with her mother. What a surprise she was, and what a blessing
she turned out to be! (Had I asked Pan, I'm sure he'd agree she was a
surprise, I don't think he'd totally agree about her being a blessing.)

Meowmy brought me a great new drinking straw to maul! She knows that is
my most  favrite toy of all!

Thank Mew to all for da kind purrday wishes!  I feel older and wiser
now. Excuse me while I go tell Mr. Straw a thing or two!
