I saw on the news some real major flooding in Houston and surroundings area.

Thanks Matthew.  So far we're OK, but we had 10 inches of rain in just 3
hours and they expect a lot more rain tonight and tomorrow.  A lot of homes
have been flooded and it has played havoc with traffic (even more cars have
been flooded and abandoned - *WHY* do people insist on trying to drive
through streets only fit for boats??!).

Thankfully, Ben and I live in an area that is not in the 100 year flood
plain.  Our only real problem is that they are still in the middle of
replacing our flood drainage system (and my corner house happens to be right
at the main conduit intersection), and the street and yards are still
torn-up mud.  It's a real mess, but nothing has been damaged.
