Went to Petsmart on Saturday to get Montgomery a Zoom Groom; with the
hot weather we're having, he's been shedding like crazy and having
serious hairballs.

Of course they didn't have one.

What they did have was a pet adoption group in the middle of the
store...  Yes, I can see all the heads nodding.  You know where this is
going...

Anyway, Monty now has a little tortie sister, Dusty (short for
Dustbunny - she's mostly dark grey and likes to get under furniture).
All things considered, he's behaving really well about this, and Dusty
is settling in nicely, although she still stays in the 'kitten suite'
(aka the larger bathroom, all fitted out with food, water, kitten box
and toys) when there aren't conscious humans to referee if necessary.
(It hasn't been yet.)

And you read it here first:  Dusty is going to be a *major* star in
Jingle-Ball Soccer one of these days.  She's very serious about her
practice time, and, after all, she comes from the same town as Landon
Donovan...

And would you believe when we went to the grocery store for the
kitten-sized litter box, _they_ had a Zoom Groom?  As far as Monty's
concerned, it's the only good thing to happen this weekend, but it's a
_really_ good one.  He nearly made me late to work this morning,
wanting grooming time...
