Can't mourn Max forever, other cats need to live.
Picked 'em up at the shelter earlier today.
After exploring the house, Lily hid out behind the washing machine. (She's
just about one year old, a rescue from a cat hoarder; Has no idea anything
was as big as my house, I suspect.)
Bill, on the other hand, being older and wiser in the ways of humans, has
decided this is a good deal and has moved right in.
He particularly liked nap time.
Cheers

Congratulations! Hope Lily comes out of her shell soon. Bill sounds like
he'll be a friendly, social guy. It's great of you to adopt new kitties
so soon after losing Max.

Max is here.
He's napping on his favorite bookshelf.

What does he think of the newcomers? What do they think of *him*?

Max's thinking days are over, and they couldn't tell one ceramic vase from
another.

Congrats on the new residents! I am always happy to hear about cats getting
another lease on life from a good slave.
Rescued Billy & Lily (littermates) live with me, too!

Congratulations on your new family members!
Do you know Bill's history? He sounds like a mature (elderly?) cat.

He was lesft at the shelter, they couldn't keep him.
Seems like a pretty reasonable cat.

Congratulations to all three of you. I suspect that Lily will soon realize
it's a good deal, too, and that the three of you will have some wonderful
times together.

Many congratulations on the new additions. We have a Lily here, and
there is also a Lily in Maryland and a couple of others on the board
too. :o)
It might be worth confining Lily to one room for the time being just
until she finds her feet and relaxes. A large space may be a little too
overwhelming for her, and it'll give her a chance to find some safe
space.

Lily has taken full measure of the house.
I woke up with both of them in bed with me.
Tomorrow my wife will join me to meet the new additions out here in the
country.
During WWII, when the original Lily Litvak was spotted by the Luftwaffe, the
words "ACHTUNG!! LITVAK!!" could be heard on the radio.
I think that phrase will be oft repeated here.
Cheers

Great to hear she has settled. :o) I think, if the other Lilys are
anything to go by, you're going to have a "wild child" hoolikitten. ;o)
My little madam is *VERY* precocious and naughty, I think Maryland Lily
was too (Lydia can confirm that)...

Awwww, happiness is waking up with kitties on your bed. It is also
going to sleep with kitties on your bed. Ok, for me it's having my
hubby and the cats with me. I'm sure your wife will love the cats too.
Cheers for you for getting Bill and Lily their onetruehome.

Thanks, Sam
This afternoon marked 24 hours since Bill and Lily have left the confines of
the cage and the shadow of euthanasia.
Lily's out and exploring the digs. They both have discovered Max's
seldom-used litterbox (fresh litter, of course) and took to it like good
kitties.
I went out for my half-hour of laps in the pool.
Bill was watching through the patio door.
He couldn't see me all the time; floor's too low.
I saw him look up at a table and an adjacent window.
A minute later Bill was on the table where he could see me all the time.
He seems capable of abstractions; this is good.
After a while he lost interest. I was just swimming laps.
Cheers and give Mistletoe a kiss.....

I'm sure that Max approves of sharing the services of an excellent
servant with Bill and Lily. They sound like a good blend of
personalities. I hope and wish for you three to have many blessed years
together. I'm also going to keep my eyes out for progress reports.
