I was zoned out on the couch yesterday afternoon when I startled all
the way awake by screams and hisses coming from the living room.
Spotsie was seeing the neighbor's ginger and white tomcat through the
window and wasn't pleased at all by the view. The other cat was
giving her the old "you're in there and I'm out here and what are you
going to do about it?" through the window. In the interest of peace
inside my house I went outside and shooed the other cat away. Seeing
that cat presses all the right buttons on Spotsie and she just flies
into a rage every time he comes into sight.

Don't you wonder what the secret formula is? Some cats hate each other on
sight, others they are just interested in.
> I was zoned out on the couch yesterday afternoon when I startled all
> the way awake by screams and hisses coming from the living room.

> that cat presses all the right buttons on Spotsie and she just flies
> into a rage every time he comes into sight.

Persia has the same problem when any of the across-the-street neighbors cats
stroll onto the patio and up to a window. She growls and hisses and puffs
up like the Goodyear blimp. I shoo those cats away often.
