Melisande (and now Cendrillon, as well) carries one of her
toys (formerly attached to a "fishing-pole") all over the
apartment, meowing loudly. It's the only toy they do that
with, and I could never figure out WHY! (Never occured to
me they might be singing to it.)

Aww, that's like Nikki and her piggy, except piggy was soft and made no
noise. But I could always tell from Nikki's voice when she was carrying
Piggy around. She had a special song for him.
