Winter Shoes

I was delighted with my new lightweight winter shoes.   They were
comfortable and the tops were made of some sort of durable, black plastic.

I was upset when I saw the damage to the toes of them - I couldn't remember
walking through a blackberry patch but that is the sort of damage the toes
had sustained.  Surely the shoes couldn't have been marked when I left the
shop, I would have noticed.

This morning I heard an odd sound.   I was sitting by the heater and the
sound was something like this, ung ung, munch, munch, suck, slurp.   I
looked - Bonnie had her paws lovingly wrapped around a new shoe.   She was
grinding pieces of plastic off the toe and spitting them out like apple
pips.  Not only were there clawmarks where she had clutched her prey but
teeth marks where she had killed it.   Is nothing sacred!!!

My beloved Whitefoot (RB) liked to use all my smooth leather shoes and boot
as scratching posts. They all looked like I had hiked through blackberries.
I eventually learned to keep the most 'sacred' of my shoes out of his reach.

No, no, I don't believe it! yesterday Bonnie was curled up on my lap,
looking adorably into my eye's, she is soooooooooooo sweet she just
"couldn't" do such a thing - must have been FSP.

Can you claim insurance? and how would you explain what happened?

Nope, nothing is.  Miss Pua loves my slippers (flip-flops).  I ordered them
from my favorite store back on Maui and had them sent here to Florida.  She
loves to chew and claw them.  Whatcha gonna do?
