Susan, that is so neat! He gets my vote, except I don't live in Canada
:-)
I'm afraid it would take a whole lot more than that for our nation's
leader to redeem himself with me. This story makes me search my memory
to remember the last thing I read/heard about our Prez that impressed
me. Can't come up with anything. That's so sad.

Here's a follow-up story on Harper from the CBC. It's also the Humane
Society's Adopt-A-Cat month:

He's pro-gunowner and pro-cat. My kind of leader :D

Actually, he's not in favour of the expensive gun registry because it
doesn't really help the crime problem and has cost 2 billion dollars for the
priviledge. He's not a pro-gun guy though.

I don't think any Canadian politician is pro-gunowner in the US sense of
the term.
I have to admit I disagree with Harper on almost every single policy he
has recently supported, and all the ones he supported before he went
federal and decided to moderate his views somewhat in hopes of his party
getting more seats.
But I'm glad he likes cats.

Maybe its those northern climes - something warm and furry to cuddle with at
night :-) Your president also has a beautiful horse!

Well, there's something good you can say about the guy!
I didn't even see that there were two cats until I saw Marina's
post referring to the "bitties", and I went back for a second look.
There's another one tucked in his arm!

I don't like his politics, but I can't argue with his choice of
masters.
Unless Nocturne recruits them to the Feline World Order. Nox--no phone
calls to Ottawa. period. And you're grounded off the internet, too.
