Mischief - 09 Jun 2006 05:17 GMT
Hi folks, this is Mischief, and i'd like to file a complaint.

Meowmie came home LATE to feed us dinner.  After munching a bit and
then having a wash, I noticed something.  The DOOR to to the OUT wasn't
shut.  So I thought i'd shut the door for Meowmie.  HONEST, i pawed at
the door, but instead of shutting, it OPENED.

Wow, the night air smelled so COOL and INVITING, that I just HAD to
investigate.  I smelled the plants, and trees and even went next door
where i remember seeing birdies.  The birdies weren't there
unfortunately.

Suddenly, i hear a door open and someone calling my name.  A blinding
light appeared in the night sky and searched for me.  I meowed to let
Meowmie know where I was, and she came over.  I hid behind a flower
pot, cause I didn't want to come home yet.  She kept calling my name
and she was starting to sound mad.

What's wrong with being OUT?  There were so many SMELLS and things to
INSPECT!!  I pleaded with her to let me stay out for a little while.
The blinding light then faded and Meowmie went inside.
SUCCESS!!!!....... or I thought.

Suddenly I heard food in my dish.  FOOD?  YAY!! MORE FOOD!!!!  I ran
back inside and suddenly the door shut.  She had TRICKED me!!!

Meowmie then picked me up and squeezed me.  What was the big deal?  She
then started kissing me and oogling over me and scolding me at the same
time.  Sheesh?  How embarassing!  When she put me down I had a quick
bite to eat but then went to the door in hopes that she would let me
out again.  BUT SHE WON"T!!!!

What is her PROBLEM??????  She's making a big fuss over me going out
and I don't see what the big problem is.

Any ideas?

AUGH!!!!  My heart is still pounding and i'm contimplating killing
Mischief

I didnt' get much sleep last night due to an upset stomach from too
much champagne, :P but I made it through the 8 hour day, and an hour in
traffic and came home exhausted.

I remember opening the door and closing it (I thought) and tiredly
feeding the cats and then made my way back to the bedroom where i fell
on my bed and fell asleep.

I just woke up 15 minutes ago( so about a 45 minute nap), and felt a
little better so i took a shower.  Mayhem was inspecting and sniffing
me after i got out of the shower and Imp was watching me from a
distance.  I then walked out into the living room............

and saw the front door open.....

I remember hearing the door shut when i came in, but not only had i
forgotten to lock it, but it must not have closed all the way

Now it was four inches open...........as if something PAWED it
open......

I panicked and quickly found my sandals and a flashlight, all the while
trying to tell myself that she did have a collar, but no tags, but she
WAS chipped.

I ran outside and stopped myself from screaming her name.  I quietly
called to her and looked nearby.  She answered me with a questioning
meow and I saw her run from the next door neighbors planter bed.  She
was hiding behind the large plant pots and wouldn't come any closer.  I
called to her again but she just meowed and rubbed against a plant.  I
threatened her in a whisper for her to get her furry butt BACK inside.

Then i remembered her weakness, FOOD.  I ran back inside and shook her
dish, which still had food in it.  Mischief runs in and I shut the
door.  The minx was a little cool from the night air, but i swooped her
up and held her tight, thanking God that she was safe but at the same
time cursing her out.

And then when I put her down, the little BRAT just flicked her tail
like there was NOTHING wrong and walked over to her dish and started
eating.  Grrrrrrrrr!!!!

Then while my heart is finally calming down, and I started to sit down
to type this i hear another meow and I turn.

THE LITTLE MINX WAS BACK BY THE FRONT DOOR BEGGING TO GO OUT!!!!!!!!!!
AUGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And now she's just walking around, her tail twitching, TOTALLY
oblivious to the fact she  practically scared the s*** out of me.

the little VARMINT!!!!!!

I need another drink.........

It must have been the night for it last night. Pandora refused to come
in at 11pm for supper and lead me a right merry dance for about an hour,
cracking on she was going to scuttle away, running towards the back door
as if she was going to go in and then swerving away.... eventually after
getting very frustrated, I gave up, puit the cat flap in *IN* only, and
went to bed exhausted. This morning, she is curled up pretty as you
please asleep on her chair.

The minx.

I hear ya.  My meowmie hates it when I run between her legs and out
into the back yard.  She's such a scaredy-hoomin.
