Threatening object

This morning as I was getting ready for work, Smokey saunters into the bathroom
for his morning lovins. Normally he is sitting on the toilet seat waiting for
me. He notices a very threatening object sticking out of the cabinet under the
sink (it was a piece of the plastic wrap on the toilet paper package). He
hunkers down very low and in a very slow moving investigative stride proceeds
to check out the threatening object. When he gets to be about 12 inches from
threatening object, I said PSSST in a someone normal tone. Upon hearing this,
he very quickly levitates straight up off the floor about 8 inches. After the
very quick descent to the floor, he backs up at breakneck speed until he
colides with the wall which also has the effect of scaring the crap out of him.
I felt really bad for scaring him but I couldn't help laughing out loud. I then
gave him lots of lovins which started his supercharged V8 purr engine, all was
well. I put threatening object back in the cabinet but he wouldn't go near it
after that.

baaad Randy! Heh.
Don't worry, I'm sure we've all done something like that at one time or
another. The nice thing about it is that our furbabies seem to forget the
incident so quickly as soon as much loving and skritches and kisses are
given.

I think I must get it from my dad. When we were small and watching a scary show
on tv, he would yell BANG! real loud, scared the bejesus out of us LOL.
