Thank-you.

We both enjoy working outside. Will post more garden pictures when I get a

You look like a lovely couple.  I love the greenery around your home, I wish
I could get my garden to grow as nicely (there's a reason my children call
me the "Boston Fern Killer" ;>).

Thank-you.

We have several gardens around our property, when I get a chance I will post
some more pictures. This year we have been busy redecorating inside so have not
had a chance to do anything outside except mow the lawn.

Living here in Houston, mowing is a dreaded chore - to the point where I've
been known to walk out on my lawn, look down and scream DIE, grass, DIE!
I've even considered paving our yard and putting down indoor/outdoor
carpeting!

Mowing is not too bad around here (Western NY) except when it gets in the 90's
and high humidity.  It takes us about 2-21/2 hours to mow it all.

There was a house a few years ago near where I used to live that had the entire
lawn blacktopped and then painted green. It has since been replaced by a bank.

Hey, this reminds me - where's Jill been? :)

(That just reminded me of her struggles with the monkey grass.)

Is she out of town? Haven't seen any posts from her for a while.

I think she may be out of town at a showing with her LLL.

Yes, Jill is in Kansas (I think) with John (LLL), and Peaches and Weeb'
Precious Persia are being boarded at TED's during her absence.

I'll volunteer to come take care of your lawn. I can kill any plant, even
weeds.  I have NOTHING green and growing in my apartment, and plan to keep
it that way.

Bwahahahahah

My Mom is the exact opposite of that.  she lives in a apartment behind a
Lowes Home Improvement Warehouse, and on her daily walks, she checks their
dumpster for discarded plants from the lawn & garden department.  She has
nursed several pants back to life that were found in the dumpster, including
an orchid (tossed because the decorative pot it was in was broken), lots of
flowers and I have in my yard a bush that is thriving (tossed because it
looked scraggly at the time, but a bit of trimming and being planted *in the
ground* instead of a pot worked wonders for it), and a large pot of daisy
that will be soon transplanted into my garden.  My mother has also had the
same African Violet for decades - when it gets to big, she cuts a leaf or
two off and restarts it, pitching the rest.  I've always told her that
everyone says that African Violets are hard to grow, but not in her case -
they're hard to kill!!!

Hi Randy!

Welcome to the group!  You are sort of in my neck of the woods - I am
near Syracuse.

Woo Hoo, you both are fine looking gentlemen.  You also have a lovely
garden behind you.  Who does the gardening?  You should see Tom's
website, The Soul Of The Garden.  It's also very beautiful and well done.

Hi Pam,
Thank-you. We are both into gardening. The picture shows only a very small
portion of our gardens. When I get a chance I will post some more pictures.
I'll check out Tom's website.
