*Someone* wants his brekkie

This morning, after waking up at 5, I waited until 7 as usual before I
gave the cats breakfast. I think Caliban thinks if he is being really
really cute, I will forget when I was going to give him breakfast and
will feed him earlier. Usually, while I'm on the computer reading rpca
and having my first cups of tea of the day, he sits on the dinner table
and burns a hole in my back with his big, innocent eyes and looking all
serious and starving.

This morning he chose another tack. He climbed to the top of the old cat
tree and rolled around there, and every time I looked up at him he
stopped rolling and eyed me with those big eyes. Every time I told him
it's not time for brekkie yet, he bunny-kicked the tree to show his
displeasure, then continued rolling.

There are a few pictures of him on the new cat tree after that one.

He looks pretty hungry to me, Marina, are you sure you remembered to give
him dinner last night? ;-)

He's a starving cat, as anyone can tell from looking at the pictures of him.
Obvious he hasn't been fed for months...

Don't they all? Sarrasine at the food dish manages to look so small,
cute, pathetic and hopeful it's a sort of "I will die if I am not fed
in the next 20 seconds but you're going to feed this poor starving
kitty aren't you?" look

Ten minutes later this large galloping maniac is knocking everything
over

Isis (RB) had a special mew- she would waver in the middle as if to say
"I am so starved that I cannot even cry properly"

Yes, the bulge around his midriff is just a trick of the light...

Shame on you for starving that poor kitty.  ;)
He is a growing boy, and needs to consume mass quantities, obviously.

This sounds extremely familiar. It's very much like the start of most
of my days, too, except that it all happens several hours later for me.

This morning, though, I really am a bad cat mom, because when I went
to feed them, there was no canned food left! They looked quite
disappointed, although I think they're mostly over it now. Cats have
pretty short attention spans, if you've ever noticed. :) They have
plenty of dry food, so they won't starve, but unfortunately they'll
have to wait until tonight to get their canned food treats.

Frankly, I think Licky is much more interested in his green herbal
treat than anything else. If I so much as crack open the drawer where
I keep his stash, he'll appear with very loud, demanding meows, the
little junkie.

Cute! I love the ones where his head appears in total isolation, looking
curiously two-dimensional.

I have to be watchful over Rusty's canned food supply. One time I have to
brave bad freezing weather to pickup his prescription food from the
vet as we were down to the last can. On the vet's order, Rusty does not
eat only caned food, no dry food at all.

What is this green herbal treat?  Just curious.

I'm talking about kitty drugs, ie, catnip. Licks is quite the head.

I  better get more sleep tonight

Ooh, bad bad meowmie! Caliban is happy with anything; dry, wet, fresh
meat or fish. Anything goes. Hoomin food goes. Just the other day, he
(again) dug a bread roll out of a bag and had eaten half of it before I
realised what he was doing. You'd think I'd have learned by now to put
bread away so he can't get at it.

He seems to be experimenting with how much of his body can hagn outside
whatever he's lying on without him falling off. ;o)

She does look a bit like him.

Nina's whiskers were twitching just now. I think she's in love with the
handsome stranger on the computer screen!  She and Caliban look enough
alike to almost be littermates!

I've always thought Caliban was kind of cute, too, in a sort of, ahem,
narcissistic way. But I've refrained from mentioning this because I
thought that would be seen as cradle-robbing. :) I would be content to
join the Caliban look-alike club, though! There must be quite a few of
us out there who were created in this mold:

One reason I love Caliban's pictures is that they remind me of
my RB Flicka.  She couldn't match his pink nose, but she had
very similar amounts of white and stripey-ness:

He looks positively weak with hunger. Are you sure you aren't
underfeeding him, Marina ;)  Soncek also thinks I should feed him more.

Of course you both are starving the owners.  How could you be so cruel?  ;-D
