We have to give Brandy this mouth rinse that apparently tastes like shoe
polish mixed with old sweatsox, to judge by the reaction whenever she
sees the dreaded bottle. We do Roxie too, as a preventive, in addition
to toothbrushing both. I swear I've lost weight chasing those two about
the house, and learned a few new cusswords in Roxese. Just now Louie had
to do the honors, and Brandy of all people swore at him foully! Brandy
doesn't hiss. Where the hell did she learn that kind of $#!+?
And I'm being entirely neurotic because Roxie and Odessa have the vet
next week. Just checkups, but I am a total neurotic and if I'm not a
hypochondriac for myself then I am for the cats. I dread some news of
pure evil, or at least destroying my checking account again. Of course
I'd do it again if it means my babies will be well--good God, will you
listen to me?! I know I'm on too much medication now. Or not enough.
Their gums actually look better than they did last year: pink, only a
couple of tiny reddish spots where last year both the girls had nasty
gums, especially Brandy. God, I hope everything'll be okay. I love those
kids.
Blessed be,
Baha

Sounds like you're taking wonderful care of them to me! Purrs for those
worried cat mom nerves to settle down.

Sounds like you're being a good Mommie, as I knew you would when I
sent your first Baby your way.
For those who don't know, Brandy has a "special" immune system that
attacks her teeth if they get to dirty. If Mommie and Daddy don't
give her proper dental care, it can kill her--and in a particularly
unpleasant manner. When her teeth go, she can't eat no matter how
hungry she gets. It's a great thing that Mommie and Daddy do for
her, and for sister Roxie. Their vigilance and stick-with-it-iveness
amaze me.
Bless you, Baha, for being a wonderful, concerned Mommie and keeping
the Nasties off of your little, round-faced baby. I'm sure that the
kitty doctor will only tell you what a wonderful job you're doing.
:) :) :)
