Another sign Francis is perking up... After this morning's constitutional round the garden with Nathan, Francis came in and pounced on his favourite toy - a 'nip sock (one of my old socks with catnip inside it and the open end knotted closed). I joke that if they ever did a tummy tuck on him, he wouldn't have any white on his belly. Actually, I wouldn't change him, he's such a sweet gentlecat, but he is quite, er, fluffy looking because of his udder perfection. Sam Hurrah for Francis. A catnip Santa boot (red/white) was my Aries RB's very favourite thing, kindly donated on a visit over the pond by an American friend, sadly now also RB: he had it for years & never tired of the occasional nuzzle, never mind how manky it became. So I buried it with him under my favourite beech tree. But I hope that's years away for Francis yet.
