... in her old age. My sister and her family arrived today to stay for  a
few days, normally Snoopy doesn't like children, not only did she allow my
10 year old niece to stroke her, she actually purred. She still beats up
Baggy just to prove she's not going completely soft. ;-)

It must be an age thing.   KFC normally hates children but she was perfect
with my tiny nephew a few months ago even though he grabbed her.  My heart
was in my mouth, I thought she might slash him, but she didn't.  She just
rubbed herself around him and purred up a storm.
This mellowing has not stopped her from batting poor Boyfie round the ears
at every opportunity.  It's so unfair.  Kitty likes to eat birds, so Boyfie
catches them and brings them to her; he doesn't like to eat them himself.
Boyfie will arrive with a collared dove and drop it on the rug in front of
the fire, where Kitty is snoozing on her beanbag.  "Hey, Kitty, wake up,
look what I've brought you"
She is not very appreciative if she is asleep.  She wakes up reluctantly and
says "What?"  Boyfie is excited that he's provided a meal for her.  He wants
her to eat it immediately.
Kitty says "oh, just go away, Boyfie, I'll eat it later."
Boyfie is gutted.
