My 19 year old tortie, Squeeky, left for the Rainbow Bridge during the
night. She had been in failing health for years, and over last 6
months she just faded away. :(   She will be buried in my back yard,
with her 'sister', Siobhan, near the rosebush we planted 3 years ago.

Rest now, Beaky.

Love,
Mommy

I'm so sorry to hear that. 19 is a grand age for an owner to live to.
We'll light a candle for her.

age but it doesn't make it any easier does it?

Soothing purrs to you for your loss.  But 19 is a respectable and long
life for a cat, and slipping away in her sleep is probably one of the
most pleasant ways in which a cat could traverse the Rainbow Bridge.
But no doubt about it, your home will seem empty for a while without
her. I hope you still have some feline companions left to console you
as you say farewell to Squeaky.

I'm so sorry Mishi.  Squeaky will be missed here.  I'll ask the owners
to purr for an easy trip to the bridge.

Thank you all for your kind words. Squeek, aka Beekie, Beekers,
Beek-a-beek was one of the last of mine and my hubby's original
"crew".  There were 11, and now we are down to one - Biddy Cat, who is
18. We do have other owners, and they have been very cuddly all day.
Boyce jumped up on the table and threw his "arms" around my neck,
tucked his head under my chin and purred loudly. Such a sweetie.
Sasquatch jumped into my lap and purred - he is quite the armfull! My
Marble leaped up on the furnace as I carried her out to be buried - he
leaned over and sniffed her shroud, then gave her a headbump.  We
placed a yellow rose over her, and as we were almost finished it
started to rain. She is now playing with her 'siblings', Mit (Maus),
Dee (Dweazel), Teebies, (Tanglefoot), Ny (Nyota),  Pixie (Pixel),
See-ann (Siobhan), Jere (Jeremy), Ishie (Ishtar), Brie (Brianna) and
the Boston Terrorists, Buster and Jasper. The Rainbow Bridge is
singing tonight - each color is a different note and as the angel
animals brush by, they create beautiful music. Just step outside on a
quiet night, and listen....

I'm so very sorry to hear of your loss. You were fortunate to have had
Squeeky for so long, but I know how hard it is to watch them slide
towards the inevitable, after such a long time together.

My two RB kitties left for the Bridge at 16 and 18 years. They are in my
back yard, under the lilac bushes I planted when I bought my house in
1979. I like knowing they are close by.

Purrs for your broken heart. I know how hard it is to lose a cat like
this.

I have a very old cat too, and I worry every time I get up in the morning if
she will still be there..
