Three weeks to graduation and I had my first day at the new place.

The doctor is French and seems to be a nice guy.  He was impressed that
i was able to jump in pretty quick.  I knew most of my stuff and he
thinks I'm going to be a good member of the team.

Hehehe, see i DID learn something in school and at my last job, i just
haven't had a chance to really DO anything.

It's a really small clinic, but we're gonna be moving in a month or so.

I got two more task done today too.  It just totally irks me that i
have three weeks to get all this done.  Which reminds me i have a ton
of reports to write up.

Had a kitten in today for a flea bath named Monkey.  Isn't that a cute
name?

Oh and there was this cat named Silverstein, and there's a funny story
that happened today.

Bear in mind there's a mild GW......

He was already in a cage when i arrived and he had been urinating on
things and apparently hadn't had a bowel movement in a few days.  He
had just recieved a warm water enema and was due to get another one in
an hour.  Man, if looks could kill.  He was giving everyone the Glare
of Death. But I could totally tell he was uncomfortable too.

An hour later, i helped restrain him for the enema and he wasn't happy
to again have a tube of warm water shoved up his butt,

But as soon as we got him into the cage, he dashed over to the litter
box and started digging.  Finally he assumed the position and there was
silence.  I was cleaning up nearby so i thought he was peeing.
Suddenly I hear a sloshy THUNK, and after a moment another series of
sloppy thunks.  I turn around and see Silverstein covering up a LARGE
mess.  I reported it to the doctor and when i looked again, Silverstein
had a VERY satisfied look on his face.

I know it's gross, but i'm sorry, i couldn't stop giggling.  Cause when
you gotta go......

Anyway this clinic seems pretty good so far, and i hope to learn a lot.

We are so glad to hear how things are working out.  What a relief it must
have been for Silverstein.   MLB

My mother had a cat named Monkey. He lived to a pretty old age.

Great stuff - glad you're able to get the tasks done in time
(hopefully)! Poor Silverstein, but what a relief :-)

I've said it before, and it's true, there aren't many places where talking
about cat sh*t can make people smile, one of the things I love about this
group. Keep up the good work, Kristi and good luck for your graduation.

Woo Hoo!  You go girl.  I suspect that the change will turn out to be a
good one in the long run.  You sound less stressed and happier already.

Please give Silverstein my sympathy.  I've had a warm water enema and it
is not fun, but oh the relief when it accomplishes what it was supposed
to....

But it's better than a *cold* water enema. I have probably posted the
story of the time I was so stopped up I ended up in the ER doubled
over with cramps, and this sadistic nurse gave me a COLD enema, which
didn't accomplish anything except make my cramps worse!
