Merlin not a fan of Kate Bush

LOL, not my rendition of it anyway! Merlin just came in for some lovin'
after sleeping for a while. Jumped up on the desk to be met with a
top-volume amateur rendition of 'Wuthering Heights'. I got the *ear* x
2, the *flicky tail*, the *shocked pause* and he left without stopping
for any lovin'. Guess I'd better not give up the day job :-D  Probably
sounded like one long caterwaul!

LOL, even the subject line of your post made me laugh!

Smudge doesn't like it when I sing, either. And I have an investment in
believing that my voice is, if not knock-your-socks-off stunning, at
least pleasant to listen to. I do perform as a singer in two groups,
after all! But if everyone reacted the way Smudge does, I'd have to give
it up. :)  (She doesn't give me the ear, though nor does she stalk off.
Instead, I get this look of *concern*.)

Maybe you should try a song with a smaller range? :)

I think feline and human musical tastes must therefore just be totally
different :-)

Heh. I get that from Bracken - he comes and sniffs my face very closely,
trying to work it out :-)

Instrumentals only, I fear! :-)

LOL! Well, I'd say that's not the easiest song to be humming at your desk.

Well, no. :-)
I was alone at the time, with all neighbours out...

If it had been a caterwaul, he prolly would have loved it.  Have you
heard your cat sing?

You should take it as a high compliment to your abilitites when a cat
hates your singing.

At least, I always do.  ;-)

Hmm, yes! Merlin has a very fine howl. Cocoa is actually capable of
yodelling, especially in the small hours of the morning.

LOL, I'll remember that, thanks.

lol!  I love Kate Bush, and in fact, her song "Love and Anger" was the
last song my beloved Sonia (RB) heard before she died.

I like to sing along a lot with music.  Our cat, Trill, will rush up
to me and get extremely affectionate when I do it.  I thought maybe I
was singing off key and it bothered him, but apparently, from what DH
told me in the past, (he can't carry a tune in a bucket), Trill only
seems to like it if you're singing *on* key.  So I guess I have a fan
in Trill ;-)

Oh my goodness... can you ever listen to it again?

Yeah, and I do.  Always makes me tear up, though.

Wuthering, Bab etc, I was a great Kate Bush fan at the time, and still have
a soft spot for her.

What's "Bab"? I have (and love) the album that Wuthering Heights is
on - are you referring to another song on that album? There are so many
good songs on it! I first bought the LP in 1978 and was really crazy
about it. A few years ago, I bought the CD - talk about memories.
