'Pootie' is used most often on the Cheers & Jeers section of the
dailyKos, but I've heard it used elsewhere, too.

Would you rather I said, 'Pussy'?  ;-)

A tyrant must put on the appearance of uncommon devotion to religion.
Subjects are less apprehensive of illegal treatment from a ruler whom
they consider god-fearing and pious. On the other hand, they do less
easily move against him, believing that he has the gods on his side.

"Pootie" was my mother's favorite nickname for my baby sister when I
was growing up. Hmmm....

Awwww! I want one. There is a pet shop at the shopping centre near where I
work and I keep stopping to watch the kittens there. They have been there
for almost two months, I hope they get adopted soon. They are gorgeous...
spend lots of time playing and pouncing. It's funny how I can always tell
who the other "cat people" are watching them.. and I always end up talking
to them!
