Not good news, PB went to the rainbow bridge at noon today.
It wasn't renal failure but cancer after all.
I got up early this morning and went outside, the sun was shining and
PB bounced (I should have called him Tigger) down the garden to me. We
spent a quiet hour sharing cuddles and purrs in the sunshine.
My heart hurts. :-(

Oh Shirley, I'm so sorry! =o( Having just said farewell to Pan a month
ago, believe me when I tell you I know what you're feeling now.
{{{Shirley}}}
I suppose in one way, it's better to remember PB bouncing around in
the sunshine than allowing him to suffer from his illness. But our
dear friends leave a terrible emptiness behind when the time comes to
say farewell. And you had no real time to prepare for the news.
I hope PB is now with Frank, Nikki, Panther, Isadora and all the
others who have crossed the bridge before us, having a good gossip
about their humans on a nice, sunny window sill in the afterlife.
Let yourself mourn for a while, and then remember all the other loving
cats in need of a new home who would be delighted to have you for
their slave, and find yourself a new cat friend. PB can't be replaced,
but he can have worthy successors.

{{{{{{{{{Shirley}}}}}}}}}}} I'm so sorry, hon. But he had a good home

you're a lucky human to have had him.

The heart hurts but time heals, and your cherished one will never be
forgotten. He went to his retirement with the one he loved by his side,
and went knowing he was as dearly loved.
I always say that, when one of our beloved companions crosses The Bridge,
that there is a person on the other side who had never in the life of the
flesh known the love of an animal. Whoever that person is, will take care
of PB for you until the day you return to him in happy reunion. Until
then, let me send up a prayer for the healing of your heart, and a lifting
of your spirits, and for grief to be gently released by the best of
memories.
Blessed be,
Baha
