I'm asking for homecoming purrs for Rosie. I really need her back here in
my arms. There have been too many loses this past year and I just can't
handle another one.
(In January my mother, my mother's sister Fanny, my dad's sister Ena and my
Aunt Mae's husband died. I was close to all of them. Then last month my
brother Dick died. Just this morning I learned his son and DIL had a
miscarriage)
I really need her back here in my arms.
We had some workers in the yard trimming trees and bushes and the noise
really scared her. Then one neighbor where she hides had workers there too,
and another had some major pool work being done. Already been to Animal
Control, and got an ad in the paper and getting ready to put up signs.
So please send her some homecoming purrs, and I could use a few purrs
myself.
Jo

Lots of get-your-furry-behind-home-NOW purrs to Rosie, and lots of
soothing purrs to you Jo. I really hope she turns up soon. You don't
need any more worry in your life. So very sorry to hear about the
miscarriage.

"Get your furry butt home now!" purrs on the way for Rosie and headbutts
and comforting purrs headed your way, Jo. I shall light a candle
tonight to help guide Rosie on her way home. Hopefully she's just
frightened by all the activity and will come home as soon as everyone is
gone.

Here's hoping she's back in your arms by the time you read this. When

Well, we got Rosie back but it isn't good news. While out putting up signs
I stopped to talk to neighbors the next block over. He found her in his
back yard Monday - dead. Said there wasn't a mark on her and we suspect she
may have been thrown over the fence from a yard across the street from me.
I don't want to get into suspicions about those neighbors as that is all
they are. But I took Rosie's body to the vet to be cremated and asked him
to try and determine the cause of death. She was only a little over a year
old and appeared to be in great health.

Oh man, I am so sorry to hear this! I'd been hoping you'd come together, but not
like this. Please accept my condolences. I have been in this spot and know how
you must be feeling now.
Please know that Rosie didn't go in vain. There must be a little child in heaven
who never knew the joy of a cat purring in a loving human hug. They will both
have a happier eternity and never know pain in the place where it is always
summer. And as the cold approaches, remember the warmth of your dear Rosie and
know that a bit of that summer is in your heart too.
Blessed be,
Baha

I am very, very sorry to hear this, Jo. It's the worst outcome that we
didn't want.
The only consolation I can see is that you actually found out that she
wouldn't come back, and didn't spend months or years hoping she might come
home.
That must be terrible, not knowing.
I know someone whose dog disappeared 6 years ago, and she's out every day
looking. She still thinks she'll find him :-(( Her friends have tried to
tell her to stop now, that whatever, if he was killed, or if someone took
him in, she isn't going to get him back now. She won't believe it, and
continues to search every day and talks about what a lovely meal she's going
to cook for him when (not if) she finds him. It's so sad.
I wish someone would have lied to her and say they found him, run over.
It's way too late now though.
((hugs for Jo))
at least you know and I'm just going to light a candle to show Rosie the
way. 2nd candle I've lit today, it would have been my mother's birthday,
the second without her, and I lit one on her grave this evening.
Tweed
Lit the candle for Rosie now, it's burning, a pink one.
