For the first time in many, many moons, I am finding ZERO fur matts on the
Billy cat. I cut the last one out yesterday. Hooray!!! He seems very happy
with his condition, as well.

I'm thinking that this move was about the best thing you could do for
both yourselves and the cats. Everyone seems to  be benefitting from a
new environment.

Maybe Biskit needs to go live with Pat-- :-)
I swear. That cat is a  mess and she hates me to brush her. She has
icky, fly-away long hair and it just matts so bad. And she never sticks
one little dainty paw outside.
I pestered her all day yesterday, letting me brush for 1/2 a minute at
a time. I finally gave up. Biskit has an appointment for a "Lion Cut"
on May 23.

Billy is also very difficult to work on. I sure don't need another like him.

I also have Frank, whose hair is almost as bad as Biskit's. He's a
little better about brushing. I would love to get him a lion cut too,
but he scraps and wrestles with the other cats. Biskit never does play
rough with them. Cat skin is paper-thin, and tears very easily. Frank
needs his coat to protect his skin.

I'm glad my cats are not longhairs.  It must be difficult to keep up with
grooming.  Congrats for sorting out Billy.
I have to groom KFC at least 2x week because of her age she doesn't groom
enough.  Let's say not at all..
What's nice is I have put her fur outside in a mesh feeder and the birds are
excitedly grabbing it to line their nests, blue tits mainly, in my nest box
"wot I made my ownself "  <boast>
I love this time of year.

Oh, hey--that's a great idea.  My lilac bushes are already draped in
dryer lint...I'll have to add dog and kitty fur!LOL
