Mount St Helens decided to vent some steam again today. I'm trying to
find some more up-to-date news regarding seismic activity, etc. I'm
always concerned about the folks living in that vicinity, but now I have
even more reason to care - I'm going to Oregon again! I've got a
delivery tomorrow afternoon/early evening in Portland.

Well, latest we've heard here in Salem, OR, is that MSH is still venting
gasses and making much steam, and may well still be building up to
something more. Lots of rumbling still, and they are even more certain
that there is lava in there somewhere. ;-D On the plus side (for us)
the prevailing winds are currently moving S -> N (give or take some E
and W) and are expected to stay that way for at least the next few days.
Our condolences for those to the North of MSH. Oh, and expect mostly
cloudy weather with possible wetness over the next few days in the
Portland/Willamette Valley area. But no more college football games
messing up traffic until 10/16 (U of O hosting Az) and 10/23 (OSU
hosting WA State). ;-)
