I've overheard a lot of conversations with Fluffy. They take place on the
front lawn of our house near the footpath and go something like this.
Tomasina, who lives two doors down and is owned by two cats. "Ooooh
Fluffy, you are gorgeous, it's time you came down to see me, will you roll
for me?"
Fluffy, rolling over and over and getting tickled on tum. "Meeeooooowwww"
Man who lives several doors down and walks to work every morning at 7.30.
"oooooh there you are kitty, I thought I'd missed you."
Fluffy, rolling several times, "Yeowwwww",
Woman who lives around the corner and knows Tomasina. "Hello Fluffy, will
you roll for me?"
Fluffy sits and watches a bug. She refuses to roll.
Woman, looking disappointed. "You roll for Tomasina, Fluffy but you never
roll for me."
Fluffy stalks off without a backward glance.
Little girl, shrieking with delight, "Ooooooh look at the fluffy cat, here
kitty kitty."
Fluffy rolls several times, yowling loudly.
I guess, like people, cats have their preferences!

It makes me smile to think of Fluffy showing off to her friends.
