In case anyone hasn't heard, the NY Times reporte this morning that
Molly the black cat has been freed from where she was trapped between
buildings in Greenwich Village.  Yay!

Yeah, with a "What is all the fuss about?" look on her face!

CBS showed pictures of her on the news, last night.  She
looked in good shape - must have had SOME access to food and
water.  I hope she'll go to a new home, though - apparently
her owner only keeps her for her hunting skills, and doesn't
particularly like cats.  She deserves better!  (How could
anyone NOT like that beautiful black & white longhair?)

I don't know if that's strictly true.  I've *been* to that shop
several time, and there's always been a cat there, and the cat always
has the run of the place-- and I've seen cats there over the years who
looked (and behaved) like little princes and princesses.  They sure
are well fed.

Well, you know what the media is like nowadays - never mind
such minor points as "is it true?" if it sells a story.  I
was just repeating what a "news" story said - and only the
announcer, not an interview with the shop owner.

Thanks for posting this, Theresa.  I'd been wondering and worrying
about her.  Glad to know she is okay.
