April 12, Rosie on cabinet security patrol
Rosie wants to know what is behind every door. In our house, she was able
to open cabinets, but on a boat, that is more difficult. Most doors have
latches to keep the contents from flying out if the boat pitches in rough
water.
Cabinet doors on Genesis have a thumb-size hole instead of a handle to use
to open the door. Some have a little latch inside the door and some have a
knob with a little bar that holds the door shut when the knob is twisted a
certain way,
This morning, Rosie pointed out the crew's sloppy attention to duties. She
went straight for the cabinet under the sink, inserted her little paw in the
hole, and pulled the door open. We thanked her for her diligence in
checking cupboard security and twisted the latch to hold the door shut
properly.
