Roxy often sleeps on top of me at some point during the night - for
example, on one of my shoulder blades, facing toward my head, with her
chin hooked over that shoulder (very cute), or meatloafing on my butt,
facing footward, among other locations/positions.
For some reason, last night she got on me and into a position that
she has never done before: she was on my upper back, lying right along
my spine, facing toward my butt. But her back feet were on my neck,
and her butt was right on the base of my head, allowing her weight to
gently push my head upward and very slightly "lengthen" my neck. In
other words, she was providing traction for my highest vertebrae. I
wonder if it was therapeutic for me? :)

LOL! Maybe she detected a crick in your neck that you didn't know was
there, and fixed it for you. I don't mind Miranda sleeping on me, but
it's a bit much when Caliban gets up on me; hard - to - breathe. Neither
Frank nor Nikki used to sleep on top of me, though they liked to snuggle
close, so this is new for me.
