Stinky has been making like Caruso  today.  When he feels like it, he
can muster up an astonishing bellowing noise.  He likes to do it down
in the basement (the echo??), but he likes to swagger around the house
doing it, too.  It is definitely a territorial thing, but Dante always
sees it as an invitation to play, chases Stinky around the house, and
gets whapped.    Stinky is also getting beaucoup zoomies these days.
Spring. ;)

Persia (a female) announces her territory, too, if another cat comes around.
But she when I talked to my mom on the phone this morning, mom said, "Man,
that cat is loud! Meow! Meow!  Why don't you feed her?" LOL  Oh, trust me,
she gets fed.

Yep, it's spring!  Persia got the zoomies early in the morning and I found
myself being used as a CATapult after being up most of the night due to
tornado warnings.

Persia, her Royal Queen Majesty hid herself in the closet and had no idea I
was prepared to join her at a moments notice.  When I could get some sleep
she got the zoomies and pounced all over me.  This was well before the
brushing session, of course.  I think I'm about to get the zoomies and
pounce on her!  She's lounging on her crackle sack!  Now is the time!

That crackle sack cracks me up.  What is it about the crackle sack? :)

Yoda does that. Isn't it the most otherworldly, creepy sound? His is
more of a yowl. If I didn't know it was him, I'd be plenty weirded out.

Isn't Stinky a senior citizen also? Sometimes I wonder if Yoda's not
going deaf or something.
Glad to hear the Stink-man is feeling that good!

Stinky's been bellowing away at times since he was a youngster.  I
don't think he knows he's 15 this year.  I'm always glad to see him
kicking up his heels, though. ;)

Wow, 15 and zoomies?  He's aged very well!

This is one of the signs of spring that I like.  Strange, so far I haven't
seen the usual flock of dead cats in the road.  Could they be getting wiser?
Could someone finally be spaying and neutering them?  Nah, I suspect it is
our topsy turvy spring.  So far, the azaleas are blooming right after the
camellias, and at the same time as the tulips.  Usually the camellias in my
front yard bloom in mid to late February/  The Dogwood about now and the
azaleas in mid to late April.  The decorative pear tree in the front yard
bloomed in Mid February instead of Mid-March as it usually does.  And the
cats are not running down the middle of the road like the un-neutered ones
usually do in the spring.  I did get my car chased by Screwy Squirrel, but
he does that every spring.  Am I the only one who's seen an unusual pattern
in the flora and fauna this year?

Go Stinky! Frank used to sing a lot in his day, and he usually did it in
the tiled bathroom where it would echo nicely (or in his carrier on the
bus, of course). Miranda has been quite vocal lately, she goes on and on
and on with her meow meow meow meow and it sounds like she is in
distress or something, but when I go to see what's up, she just throws
herself down and rolls over and wants tummy rubs. Caliban tries to sing,
but he has such a small fluting silly voice, he's not going to scare off
anyone with it. ;o)
