Buster has two favorite places these days - atop the recliner in the
living room, and on the empty counter space in the kitchen. Of course,
that leaves me with less counter space than I need, to prepare meals,
but I'm dealing with it (grin).
If I don't pay him enough attention, he meows loudly at me, and
insists on coming over to get skritches and/or helping me prepare
food. Normally, he just sniffs at the food, or leans over to look at
it. But not this morning.
I had poured some Cheerios into a bowl, and left the room for a moment
or two. When I came back, Buster had his front claws extended, and had
speared two Cheerios on two claws, and had his other paw in my cereal,
to snag some more.
He was sniffing at and nibbling on the two Cheerios he already had.
Well, at least he found some use for those fish-hooks of his, besides
impaling me with them (grin). I left him a small pile of Cheerios,
which he proceeded to knock on the floor and chase, one at a time.
I'm scared he's going to teach Little Boy (more) bad habits...
Hugs and Purrs,
Mark

Caliban likes to lay on the kitchen counter watching me while I cook.
The other day, I had grated some fresh parmesan cheese for my pasta and
turned my back for a moment. Of course the parmesan was gone when I
turned back.

Even cats that won't eat people food make the occasional exception.

You should know, Mark, the best food is food you can play with, too.
Or the best toys are toys you can eat, too. ;)
