Pandora's home - I picked her up a while ago. She's asleep (exhausted) in her thick comfy bed in my study. All 4 of the other cats are in the meatloaf position, purring in a circular vigil around her. Quite unbelieveable if I didn't see it myself with my own eyes. When Frank was given his sedation before being PTS, and he conked out under the bed, Miranda went and cuddled up to him. She'd never done that before. It was heartbreaking. Jean. Not meaning to hijack the thread but with Marina's reply I was reminded of the time when I was planning (not merely contemplating, but actively intending) to end it all. There were four kitties involved in saving me. Two of whom had *never* gotten under my blankets in bed, and two that were the fiercest of enemies. How did she do it? In my case they told me they would be lost without me, and to also think of the two d*gs. When I realized how it would affect the animals, I had do cancel my departure. Much the same, I've loved all the cats that I've shared my life with, Snoopy is the only one that I know for sure loves me. Just looking at her face I couldn't do anything to hurt her.
