It's got a fuzzy lining, the idea being she should crawl inside of it. She's having none of that. She just rolls around on the outside, then rests or takes a nap :) > She's such a cutie. I've stopped buying things for mine. The scratching post is still ignored, AFAIK it has never been used. Why would they, since they can scratch all they like on trees outside? I didn't think about that. Toys are a waste of time as well. There is one little mousie which looks very much like a real one that BF will occasionally bat around and pounce on (I love it when he does this) but on the whole toys are not us. (For anyone not in UK there is a shop called "Toys R Us") KFC never wastes her time on toys. She is now, in her old age, only interested in her comfort. She likes to sleep by the fire on her beanbag for as long as possible and then have Boyfie bring her collared doves to eat ;-) Which he does and ignores his bop around the ear for doing so. I had a small mutt dog who lived 18 years and just *try* to keep him away from a tennis ball or a squeaky toy! Sampson was all about toys. With my lovebird Peaches it's a whole different story. Oooh! Rita likes her mousies, but a certain type of mousie gets the royal treatment. I don't know what is in them, but it looks like some kind of sticky sawdust, probably with catnip too. She will play with other mice, but whenever I get out one of these, she goes absolutely crazy. She'll carry it everywhere with her, and chew on it like chewing gum. I find bits and pieces of shredded mouse all over the house, including in my bed. She likes to bring these mousies into the bed to play at nighttime. The only time it bothers me is when I roll over onto the mousie bits and she gently claws me to make me roll back over. If I dole them out fast enough, she can go through 4-5 of these mice a week. Cali headed for places unknown as soon as she heard it being unwrapped. Smokey kept her distance from the evil visitor. But Cleo subdued it right away. Oooh what fun it is to bop this evil thing, it makes noise. Cleo is a very stoic kitty. Smokey did show a little interest when we showed her how the Sac opened up. Smokey has a thing for enclosed spaces. But Cleo bopped her for showing an interest in her evil Sac. I also picked up a Treat Ball for Cali, but it was a dud too. I showed her the ball with the treats, but she said that was a "STOOPID idea, I can't eat the treats in there. Be a good fellow and get them out for me!" Cleo did attack the Treat Ball and got a treat for her trouble, but she didn't associate the treat with her actions. You can freeze it, you know :) All herbs can be frozen. And you can dry your own then store it in ziplock bags the freezer, assuming you can keep the cats away from it long enough to let it dry out.
