The last few days I've noticed Persia making sounds like the Tribbles from
the old original Star Trek series.  She only does this from time to time,
when am reading and she is laying on top of me.  The first time I heard it I
thought WTF?  Then I realized, it happens when she's purring hard and also
lets out a big sigh of contentment.  It's too cute!

Mimi does that a lot - usually right before she does a squirm and falls off
the bed/desk/chair/lap.

Is it like when they chirrrrrp while purring?  You know, when they're
really really happy.

It's almost like a 'trilling' sound.  When she chirrrrps it sounds
different.

Shoot.  I guess I don't have any 'Tribblers' then.  However, I do have
a couple that are Big Trouble!  <g>

Amelia has something similar that she does once in a while. If she gets
into the bedroom before Samuel does, she'll sometimes curl up on my
chest and purr. She'll lie there with her head up, looking towards me
face, and purr up a storm. If I pet just right her eyes will close. If I
keep it up, her chin will sink to my chest and she will finally
COMPLETELY relax with a huge sigh-purr. It's so very cute.

And just like Tribbles, you start with one, next thing you know you have four.
