Peter has  a cyst on  his hand just below where you would have a callus
below your fingers. He was told my our family doctor that he will need
surgery. We are going to see a hand doctor Thursday morning.

His employer knows about the cyst but said it is not work related. It will
be up to this doctor to say if it is. Peter is a welder and would be out of
work 2 or 3 weeks. If it is work related then workers comp has to cover it.

I'd almost bet it's job-related. Sending many purrs for the best possible
outcome on all fronts.

Purrs that the cyst is easily treated and that it _is_ work related, then at
least he won't lose out so much financially.

Lots and lots of purrs for the surgery to go really well and for the
doctor to say it is work related,

Thanks for all the purrs.

The doctor said it was work related and Peter has a form to take into work
for them to fill out.

Now we have to wait for the paper work to be completed and the surgery
scheduled.

Lots and lots of purrs for the surgery to go really well,

Peter will have the surgery on his hand the end of April. It should be a
small cut and he should be back to work in a few days.

Where he works is still giving him a hard time about it not being work
related even tho our doctor said it was. He could start all over again with
their doctor but he didn't even know what the cyst was.
The company also has a problem with proving it happened there. If  Peter had
for example cut his hand then there would be a clear date of the injury.
Our family doctor said the exact same thing as the hand doctor he referred
us to. Also the hand doctor is very good.
So we are going to use our insurance to pay for the surgery and have a
doctor that knows what he's doing.

When it's something as vital to humans as a hand, I think
that's a wise decision!

Good idea. You don't want to mess with that. Jeez, companies are the
limit, aren't they?
