Nancy has been asked to come in to interview for one of the jobs open to
here. I believe the job would suit her quite well, though it still
doesn't pay as much as she'd like to make. But I *do* believe that she's
the best candidate for the job.
She's set up the interview for Tuesday.
She says she doesn't want to get her hopes up, because every time she
does she gets disappointed. I sure know that feeling! But we'd sure
appreciate your purrs that this interview goes as it is supposed to.

I can understand that feeling but I will set the gang purring. If she LIKES
the job, it's worth a little less pay IMO.

Purrs continuing for Nancy -- please tell her we're pulling for her!

Specifically, she's set it up for 3 PM Pacific today.
CatNipped - 05 Oct 2004 15:05 GMT
OK, we'll start our motors running at 4:45PM Central today. (Does anybody
else start singing "Get your motor running..... head out on the highway.....
looking for adventure..... and whatever comes my way" when their cats start
purring?)

That's cool! Let's hope Ava has good feelings for Nancy's chances.
It sounds like yesterday's interview went well. The interviewer was a
guy of some importance in a newspaper that is sort-of a parent
organization to Nancy's paper, and he liked a lot of the things Nancy
had to say about her hopes for integrating some functions of the various
papers in the organization, etc. Next step is for the interviewer to
present his recommendations to the publisher of Nancy's paper, currently
out of the country for two weeks. So we're keeping our fingers crossed.
