Crackles mom posted a note on the Yahoo! group "catslaves" that Crackles had
to be PTS on Tuesday as his cancer had gotten much worse and he was
suffering.

She was posting from a library since she and her family are still in the
process of moving out of their hurricane-damaged home.

Purrs are heading her way from my crew and a candle will be lit for Crackles
tonight.

Hugs,

Aw shoot.  Shakespeare was right (as usual):  when sorrows come, they
come not single spies, but in battalions.
Purrs for Crackle's journey, and for his mom and family.

Poor Crackles, I'm so sorry to hear that.  Purrs are on their way
for his journey to the RB where, after all he'd been through, he'll
have a very special place of peace, renewal, and pain-free happiness.
Our sympathy, too, for his mom who's done an outstanding job with him
and for him.

Poor guy.
He was loved by a great many the last years of his life.

Sleep well Crackles.
Your long and hard journey is at an end.
You will be sorely missed by all.

XXI  REQUIEM
Under the wide and starry sky,
Dig the grave and let me lie.
Glad did I live and gladly die,
And I laid me down with a will.

This be the verse you grave for me:
Here he lies where he longed to be;
Home is the sailor, home from sea,
and the hunter home from the hill.

Thanks for the update.

What an awful time Florida residents have had.

Purrs for P and Crackles, and will light a candle for his trip.

I hadn't seen this message on catslaves yet, and I'm very sorry to
read this.  We will light a candle for Crackles, and send many purrs
to his meowmy.

I am so sorry to hear this :-(  Adding a loud chorus of purrs for
Crackles' journey to the Bridge, and for his family to recover from
the devastation of the hurricane and the loss of their special baby.

Blessings,

How sad that Crackles' devoted mom had to deal with Hurricane damage AND
with having to end Crackles' suffering  at the same time. I hope Crackles is
having a nice nap on a sunny windowsill somewhere in the Summerland right
now--WELL out of any hurricane force winds.  I mean, how can you  explain a
natural disaster to a cat? They must feel the human fear all around them and
REALLY wonder what the heck is going on this time.

Purrs for the mama. She went to such lengths. Crackles is in a far finer place
now, whole and healthy and under the care of our Creator. He (she) will be a
great babysitter until the day mama's called home.

Blessed be,
Baha

Purrs and sympathy for Crackles and his loved ones.  I've been worried
about them all.
